There are 5 categories of people when it comes to Twitter:
1) Twitter Obsessed: Obsessively Tweets multiple times per hour
2) Twitter Business: Business Use Necessity / 1-3 times per day
3) Twitter Haters: Tried it and don’t and like it
4) Twitter Love/Hate – use it occasionally when you remember to and when you’re interested in a trending topic
5) Twitter? What the heck is that….
Which category are you in?
I probably fall into 2 categories:
#2 – Twitter Business and #4 – Love/Hate category.
Why I use twitter.
Business reasons:
– It’s a necessary evil to me for business. It adds more backlink juice and is part of the New Google Social Media Algorithm Interaction Juice that we need to rank well.
– It’s one social media element I have my clients use to gain more exposure traction for their business
Personal reasons:
– I find it useful when something big is happening and I want to see peoples’ immediate reactions to trending topics.
– It’s also fun to watch in conjunction with a TV Series Finale that you I may be interested in.
– When I check-in to Foursquare I usually share it via Twitter (backlink juice)

Technical Twitter abbreviations:
• CC = Carbon-copy. Works the same way as email
• CX = Correction
• CT = Cuttweet. Another way of saying partial retweet
• DM = Direct message. A direct-message is a message only you and the person who sent it can read
• HT = Hat tip. This is a way of attributing a link to another Twitter user
• MT = Modified tweet. This means the tweet you’re looking at is a paraphrase of a tweet originally written by someone else
• PRT = Partial retweet. The tweet you’re looking at is the truncated version of someone else’s tweet.
• PRT = Please retweet, a plea to put at the end of a tweet
• RT = Retweet. The tweet you’re looking at was forwarded to you by another user
