Does your Personal Page Work Link to your Facebook Business Page?
I’ve been trying to ramp up my facebook page engagement lately and noticed that a lot of personal profile accounts (that “liked” my business page (myself included)), “work information” linked to a blank community page. I was spending too much time sifting through personal page information for a clue as to where their facebook business page. This led me to create a tutuorial on how to link “work info” to the correct facebook business page. We all could use that extra bit of “free advertising”…right?
Facebook is always changing, is your Business Page Link Displayed Correctly? In today’s economy you can’t afford not to.
I believe the reason why most profiles won’t be linked correctly is because when we first created our facebook profiles (starting in 2004 for colleges and in 2007 for the rest of us), we didn’t have facebook business pages.
Since then, Facebook has made millions of additions and modifications, and one of the additions was the Facebook Fan page until April 19, 2010 which evolved into the Facebook Business Page. Facebook needed a page to link your “work information” to and did not want external links so by default created a blank page.

FACT: Facebook only counts likes on your Facebook Business Page from peoples personal profile accounts, not from other facebook business pages.
But now the majority of us have become facebook savvy and have our own sparkling Facebook Business Page with no connection from our personal profiles. This tutorial will show you how.
Facebook Business Page Link – Go to your Personal Profile Page
- Hover over your Work Information link and see what pops up.
